The Republican-controlled Congress failed to accomplish their long-promised “repeal and replace” rollback of “Obamacare”. Although skyrocketing premiums, deductibles, and other troublesome trends continue to worsen, the nation’s Congressional lawmakers are now obligated to cooperate and creatively strive to repair and overhaul the existing legislation, without leaving tens of millions of vulnerable Americans without life-sustaining Medicaid coverage. Such improvements will have to be accomplished despite continuing distractions generated by the Executive branch.
