    Our son with Autism, born in 1989 and is 29 at the time of this writing, can’t put an entire sentence together.  However, short of that, he’s very aware of his surroundings and we KNOW there’s a lot going on inside his head!  We’re finding out that there’s a whole positive approach and attitude  (we’ve learned that it’s called “Total Communication”) that can find the right communication medium that will help our son bust out of the non-verbal shell he’s been living in all his life.  This starter discussion is taking place right at the beginning of this new journey, and I’ll be posting again…
