After numerous failed attempts to repeal and replace Obamacare, Senate Republicans are again trying yet one more time, prior to a Sept. 30, 2017 deadline that will make it virtually impossible to so from a legislative standpoint. Pertinent to the US Autism and other affected populations are the near-assured loss of pre-existing conditions protection and guarantees provided under Obamacare, as well as the sizable rollbacks of Medicare funding over the coming years. While the proposed bill’s sponsors claim that nothing is lost on the Federal level, when healthcare responsibility is shifted over to the States, that is where the cuts will assuredly happen. Concerned citizens should contact their elected representatives and express their verifiable concerns.
